How to choose an excellent IPT for my children?
There are many factors to think before make a choice for your children, here are several point that you can consider :
  • Your child's result! Be excellent to get in excellent IPT! In order to have many choices, your child need to pass with a green card. With this kind of result, they can easily to apply any IPT that they like and you too.
  • Course offer, you need to consider what kind of course that your child want to continue. For example, if they want to be a doctor and want to study local the right IPT maybe IPT that have an hospital is the best choices like University Malaya(UM) or University Kebangsaan Malaysia(UKM)
  • Fee that you need to pay along your child study for 4 to 6 years.
  • Succesful history of the alumni from the IPT
  • Ranking of the IPT

How to apply PTPTN?
Kaedah permohonan pembiayaan pendidikan :
  • Mendapat tawaran ke IPT sebelum memohon pembiayaan pendidikan.
  • Memohon pembiayaan pendidikan secara online. Klik di sini.
  • Permohonan berpandukan tarikh yang telah ditetapkan mengikut IPT. Klik di sini..
  • Mempunyai akaun simpanan individu mengikut bank yang telah ditetapkan oleh IPT.
Syarat-syarat permohonan pembiayaan pendidikan adalah seperti berikut:
  • Warganegara Malaysia;
  • Berumur tidak melebihi 45 tahun pada tarikh memohon;
  • Mendapat tawaran ke IPTA/ IPTS dan Politeknik dengan memenuhi syarat kelayakan masuk yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia dan Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia (MQA);
  • Kursus yang diikuti oleh pelajar IPTA/ IPTS dan Politeknik mestilah mendapat kelulusan daripada Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia dan berdaftar dengan PTPTN;*
  • Bagi pelajar-pelajar IPTS, kursus yang diikuti mestilah mendapat Sijil Perakuan Akreditasi daripada Agensi Kelayakan Malaysia (MQA) dan masih di dalam tempoh sah laku semasa tarikh memohon;
  • Bagi pelajar yang mempunyai kelayakan berbeza pengesahan perlu diperolehi daripada jabatan atau agensi sebagaimana dinyatakan di atas;
  • Baki tempoh pengajian semasa membuat permohonan hendaklah tidak kurang dari satu (1) tahun;
  • Tiada penaja lain;
  • Telah membuka akaun SSPN-i**
* Hanya kursus yang diluluskan tajaan PTPTN akan didaftarkan dan disenaraikan dalam Portal Permohonan Online PTPTN. Pihak IPT perlu membuat permohonan kepada PTPTN sekiranya ingin mendapatkan tajaan pembiayaan PTPTN.
** Hanya akaun SSPN-i yang mempunyai 15 digit sahaja yang boleh membuat permohonan PTPTN. Sila hubungi cawangan PTPTN berhampiran untuk menyemak nombor akaun SSPN-i 15 digit.

How to apply scholarship?
  • Start the process even before you finish high school, preferably from the end of your junior year or the beginning of your senior year.
  • Be aware of your qualifications, your strengths and weaknesses, and your accomplishments, academic and otherwise.
  • Search for scholarships through various sources - the broader and wider your search, the more likely your chances of success.
  • Make a list of those that you think you could qualify for.
  • Create a portfolio of all your achievements and accomplishments which count towards the scholarships that are on your list.
  • Gather all the necessary information and documentation relevant to your financial status and that of your parents or wards.
  • Request the necessary information and application forms.
  • Contact the sponsors of the scholarship if you're not sure about your eligibility for the scholarship. Ensure that you have the right letters of recommendation from the people who matter.
  • Prepare your essay with care - put in extra effort because it could make the difference between acceptance and failure. Remember to tweak your essay and personalize it according to the scholarship you're applying for instead of sending out the same one for all of them.
  • Don't copy essays from your friends, even though they may be applying for different scholarships.
  • Follow directions when filling out your application.
  • Ensure that you fill out applications in neat and legible handwriting if they cannot be printed or typed out.
  • If your essay should be handwritten, get someone to check it for spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Double check your application to see if you've included all the necessary attachments and filled in all the right columns with the right information.
  • Keep track of application deadlines and follow-up appointments and send in your applications well before the due date.
  • If you're submitting your application online, convert all your documents to the PDF format.
  • Send your application through services that allow tracking and where you're sure to receive an acknowledgement.
  • Prepare for the personal interview that is part of every scholarship screening process.

How to apply MARA?
  • Obtain a MARA loan application from the university you've been accepted at or through the MARA loan office. Fill out the form completely.

  • Show proof of citizenship for Bumiputera, Malaysia, either by your birth or parental citizenship. Copies of passports and birth certificates are required for proof and should be included when you return the application packet. You'll also need to include a copy of MyKad, the compulsory smart-card identification in Malaysia.
  • Provide a copy of your university acceptance letter, academic certificates and school co-curricular certificate.
  • Write and include a brief profile of your student history, you career path and an explanation of how the chosen academic program will help you fulfill your career goals.
  • Include prior work history, a work resignation or release letter, and a copy of your last salary slip.
  • Include your parents' citizenship, work history, salary slips and MyKad information. Deceased parents' death certificates must be supplied.
  • Put all documents together with the loan application and return the entire packet to the MARA loan department.
